The DEVBUZZ development shop has grown a little the past few years and I've been meaning to add some additional information about our skills to the site. I looked at a few boutique development shop's websites to see what "blurb" they have on their sites and I was surprised at how mundane it was. They all mention their development "methodology"; their committment to their clients, it's a collective grab bag of techspeak - none of it is very inspiring.

Prospective clients want to know three things before they engage DEVBUZZ to do custom Windows Mobile development work:

• Do we have experience in providing solutions in the specific technology?
• Can we provide references for past development projects?
• How much do we charge?

So I won't bore you with the details of our internal processes - the only metric that matters is our past development success.

Windows Mobile/Pocket PC Development

RETS (Real Estate Transaction Standard)
We have delivered over 10 projects that interface with RETS servers. Real time RETS property searches and queries, extracting RETS data and massaging/importing/exporting to different data stores. Exposing RETS property information on mobile devices - we have a wealth of experience interfacing with RETS servers. (more information on RETS development)

Automated Data parsing
In conjunction with our RETS experience with have developed many solutions that import/export data from a variery of sources, such as FTP, HTTP, flat files, Excel followed by extensive data "cleaning" or merging using regular expressions or remote lookups. These solutions are normally fully automated, process hundreds of thousands of rows daily and include notification systems to alert administrators of anomalies or import issues.

SQL Server 2000/2005 Synchronization & XML Serialization
We have used SQL Server replication and XML serialization extensively to get data from back office SQL Servers to SQL CE on Windows Mobile devices. We know what works best, fastest with the lowest maintenance overhead.
