    Month View

Month View shows the current month on top, with pink signifying the current day and green denoting weekends. On the lower portion of the screen is appointment and task information for the selected date. View Options allow for dynamically sizing the Month View, Task Due count, and whether or not details are displayed, and if so, as either detail lines or category icons.

    Tasks View

This View displays Current tasks, with the option to add either all or x number of days' Future Tasks and/or Completed Tasks as well. The columns labeled Task, Start, Due, and Category can all be resized and with one or two taps all Tasks can be sorted according to the label tapped. A New Task entry field and search options including text, recurring task, and alarm sorting line the bottom of this View. Also, linking and sort by priority/ sort by category are available.

    Contacts View

The Contacts View displays the names and phone numbers of your contacts, sorted by Category. Contacts can be shown by first, last, company, or File-As names. A Detail Window displays information for the Contact selected from the list below; this window can be minimized and resized. Contacts are searchable by either letter tabs or by a search bar that takes its place when activated. The search bar includes a text field, a magnifying glass to search additional Contacts other than the "closest match" displayed in the Detail Window and a button labeled Clr to cancel the search. Tapping-and-holding on the selected Contact's number reveals a powerful feature embedded in Pocket Informant: a phone dialer that dials the selected number in the Contact's record.

    Contextual Tapping-and-holding

Tapping-and-holding on different areas of the five Views brings up related options, whether they are options for the records themselves, or for their dates or times. Opening the record, View/Edit Note, Linking to either items or files, Delete, and other options are common to all tap-and-holds for records in the Agenda, Week, Month, and Task views, with little variation. Tapping on a Day allows for New Appointments and Tasks. Tapping-and-holding in blank space allows one to refresh the screen. Contextual options and View-specific options allow for quick, easy functionality, while keeping in mind the size of a Pocket PC screen.
