CeCrafts first software release
relating to Personal Information Management, Lupins
Diary is a skinnable interface that allows access to Calendar,
Tasks, and Contacts functions from within the application.
The retail-version arrives as a self-executable that once
installed, is unlocked with a registration code. Lupins
Diary, with a 3-tabbed display area and controls above and
below, occupies the entire Pocket PC screen. The three views
provided are labeled Appointment, Task, and Contact. Common
to all screens is the Options button featuring a question
mark, and below, the New and Find buttons.
The Appointment screen can be viewed
six ways: Agenda, Day, Week grid, Week, Month, and Year.
Appointments are displayed with their subject and timeframe.
In the Agenda view, one can see their appointments for x
number of days, and if desired, their Tasks as well. The
Day view shows appointments by hour over the course of ones
workday. The hours of a workday, along with the number of
working days, 1st day of the week, and ISO week numbers
can be changed from their defaults. The Week grid view can
display Tasks as well, but in lacking drag-and-drop capabilities
for Appointments and Tasks, does little to earn its keep.
The Week view takes after Pocket Outlooks view, relying
on blocks to show occupied time. Month view shows dots corresponding
to the number of appointments and a bar for All-Day events.
The Year view is taken more or less directly from the built-in
Calendar.
