PI Alarm Notes, Appointments, and Tasks

Tapping New in Pocket Informant allows you to create new appointments and tasks using Pocket Informant's forms, rather than those in Pocket Outlook. These forms have a simple layout and each page is fully visible even with the Keyboard or Character Recognizer activated. Tabs lead to Linking functions, a PI-enhanced Note, Category, and Attendees controls. The themes of efficient use extend to the PI Task form, which unlike the Appointment form, lacks an Attendees list.

Alarm Notes allows one to create a reminder that will pop up at the user-determined time. Quick-buttons, among them date and time stamps, and Links to Documents make for great flexibility. One can either record, type, or draw on several backgrounds. One can either set the alarm on the same screen, or for more options, can click ok to lead to an alternate Alarm Set page.

Linking

Perhaps Pocket Informant's most advanced feature is the extent to which one can link almost any kind of record or file to well, almost any other record or file. This can either be done by tapping-and-holding, and then selecting the Link with Item or Link with File options. Alternatively, tapping the Link button (button with a diagonal arrow pointing up), one can navigate into any of the views and drag and drop items into the resulting Link Window. To view linked items, one only has to select that option from the tap-and-hold menu, which opens the appropriate Link Window. Items open with a click and delete with a tap-and-hold, select Delete.
